Admissions
September, 2012
Thank you for your interest in The Churchill School and Center. We hope you have taken a few minutes to visit our website and that it has helped you to determine if you would like to apply to Churchill. We encourage you to join us at an Open House to learn more about our program, to meet representatives of our faculty and staff, observe our students in action, and to tour our facility. Please view our Open House schedule here. Please note your attendance at an open house is not required in order to file an application.
If you would like to apply to Churchill please feel free to call the Admissions Office to request the password necessary to download an application.
Typically, our major entry points for new students are in the lower division of our Elementary School and ninth grade in our High School. Our Middle School begins in grade six and space is subject to attrition, which varies year to year. Because of this, unfortunately, we are only able to offer a few seats to incoming sixth, seventh and eighth graders.
Please note application deadlines as follows:
For Lower Elementary age children (ages 5-8 in September 2013) applications will be accepted through February 1st, 2013. Although we are ungraded in our Elementary School, this deadline applies to children who might be entering grades K through 3.
For children entering grades 4-10, applications will be accepted only through December 14, 2012.
All applications received by the appropriate deadlines will be reviewed.
Please make every effort to observe this timeline in submitting all the required documents. In addition to Educational and Psychological testing, please send us your child’s most recent Speech/Language and/or Occupational Therapy Evaluation if one has been administered, as well as the most recent IEP if your child is already in the Department of Education system. The completed Teacher/Provider form must be submitted directly from the teacher or provider to Churchill and can arrive after the application deadline. Due to limited space, applications will not be processed after the deadline has expired. Please note, once the completed application is reviewed, you will be contacted by the Admissions Office. To see a full Application Checklist click here.
Please feel free to call The Admissions Office at any time with any questions or concerns you might have about the admissions process. We understand that this can be a daunting, and sometimes overwhelming experience, and will make every effort to assist you.
We look forward to meeting you at an Open House and to working with you throughout the application process.
Sincerely yours,
Wendy Federico
