Enhancing Social Skills Development 2008/2009
Admission Procedure
If you are interested in enrolling your child in the Social Skills program, please call Jane Gertler or Susan Spero at The Churchill Center (212) 722-0610 for an application form. Upon receipt and review of these materials by the Center director, parents are contacted to arrange a screening for their child. Within two weeks after the screening date, you will be notified as to whether or not we have a group that is appropriate for your child.
Assesment of Progress
Parents will have the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress during a private meeting with the group leader after the first five sessions of the program and after the final session.
Parent Workshop
Each semester, a one-session workshop is offered to parents of children participating in the Social Skills
program. The workshop provides parents with strategies to help their child extend learned social skills into the home.
